Are you giving in to trouble or are you giving in to God?

Deb Peacock

Does it all feel too hard? It’s been too relentless and you just don’t want to have to keep standing up and fighting? You just want to give up.

God might be asking you this: are you giving in to the trouble or are you giving in to God? Because you are actually called to give in. But you are called to give in to God.

God’s grace falls on the humble. 1 Peter 5:5

The humble are the ones who yield, who submit, who surrender and this means to give in to God.

Avoid the temptation to give in to the trouble that is all around you and hang up your boots. Instead redirect and give in to God, the almighty - the one who is mighty to save. He will lift you up, put you on your feet and set your course for movement forward.

You will be able to persevere. You will endure. You will not be beaten. You will empowered to love well throughout all the way through until you have overcome. Give in to the Lord and he will be mighty for you and through you until you are past it and you will be able to say, “with the Lord I have overcome it.”

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 1 Peter 5:6

He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. Psalm 40:2
