God is wiping your slate clean
Deb Peacock
God right now, is WIPING THE SLATE CLEAN This is a time of transition from old to new and the two can’t coincide.
In previous generations, they wrote what they were learning on a slate with chalk and they had to clean it off before they could write the new things they were learning on it the next day. And God is saying he is wiping your slate clean.
HIS WORD OVER YOU IS STILL RIGHT
He is not wiping the slate of what he said to you about who you are and your purpose. His words of life, purpose and identity over you have not changed. You didn’t get it wrong. It is still all in place correct. But he is wiping your slate clean in the way to go forward in those purposes, in the way to go well.
Some of you have been disillusioned as life has not developed as you expected. You thought you heard God speak over you and your life and yet it hasn’t gone well as you thought it would. It all seemed great and clear in the beginning but it hasn’t eventuated. So perhaps you are fearing even talking with God about it now.
Some of you have veered off course along the way and made errors and got it wrong. When God says he is wiping the slate clean, he says he isn’t holding your past over your head. You are not out of the race or eliminated. You are wondering where did I go wrong? But God says, it doesn’t matter, I have a new ways for you. I have a new way of doing things for you to embrace.
Some of you have been going along well and yet the Lord seems to be speaking of stopping this way and has brought you to a halt and you find yourself at a standstill. Your way forward from this point on is different now.
WIPING THE SLATE CLEAN
The Lord is wiping your slate clean, emptying you out of the old ways and old failings because he is going to write the new ways and new approach on your slate for you. The new way to go forward with him into a new season with new empowerment of the Lord.
DON’T WRITE THE OLD BACK ON YOUR SLATE
So it is important in this time to not go and rewrite the old ways back on the slate. It is drying ready to receive God’s ways for you to go forward and the old ways don’t cut it anymore. If you write the old ways there is no space for the new ways to be written. Let go of them and look expectantly to what he might say and bring for you in the new clean slate.
IT’S OK TO FEEL UNSETTLED IN TRANSITION
In this time of God wiping the slate clean, it is ok to feel unsettled with no way or strategy clear in front of you. This unsettled place happens when we are transitioning from one thing to another. Hold on in faith that the Lord is about to write something new on your slate for you… he is just wiping it clean and letting it dry first.
Bless you today
