God is your provider, will you see it?
Deb Peacock
If God is our provider, are we interacting with him as though he is our provider? Are we seeing him as our provider? If we are seeing him as our provider we will see what we have as being from him and then we will interact with him as though he is our provider. We will acknowledge his provision to us and hopefully we will be grateful. Because he doesn’t have to provide for us. He does it out of his abundant love because he wants to. But he doesn’t owe us provision. How can you be grateful to the Lord for his provision in your life?
It says in the bible that thankfulness and gratefulness opens up our experience of grace and peace. In Psalm 100 it says we enter into things of the Lord through thanksgiving. I know of people and when they intentionally stopped throughout their day to thank the Lord for his help and provision in the previous few hours, it turned their whole experience of life around. They literally went from complete despair to living with life.
When we are focused on what provision we haven’t been given we are focussing on God not being our provider. We are actually meditating that God is not our provider. This means that what we notice in our experience of God will only be that he does not provide for us in what we want. When we are focussed on him as the provider, we are then positioned to see what he is providing for us and this will fill our hearts with joy.
What provision do you need to thank the Lord for today? He is your provider and he loves you. He doesn’t have to but he wants to.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalm 100:4
