There is more protection for you in the Lord’s house

In this season you might have been feeling like you were starting to have breakthrough. There is so much attack and difficulty going on and yet you are breaking through. You could sense the new erupting and it was exciting and yet in recent days, there’s been more attack than ever and you think ‘when is this going to let up?’.

It looks like people are not only needing protection from things going on around them, or on a bigger scale that covered over whole regions or countries but also even protection from themselves as they struggle to stay thinking on truth, in faith and staying on the right path.

When we become a Christian, we accept the Lord Jesus into our life and we think of him and Holy Spirit dwelling within us. In this time, the Lord is pointing out that from a protection point of view, we need to think of it as becoming a child of God, a part of his family which means we go and live by faith in his house. When we have a child we bring them home, we bring them into our house and they live, sleep, eat, get dressed within our house. They get prepared for life from within our house, in our family. It is the same for us with the Lord. As his child, we are adopted in. We come into his house. We live there. Therefore, we are provided for there, we can rest there. So when the night comes, when darkness is on the prowl we are asleep during that attacking time. We are asleep and safe and sound in the Lord’s house. There is protection for you with the Lord but it comes through faith of understanding what it means to live as the Lord’s child and realise the inheritance that we have as his children.

How do we go about entering into an upgrade of protection that we need right now?

Firstly, we need to meditate on the Lord, on who he is as the King of kings and that we are his child, we are the child of the King of kings. Our inheritance as his child is access to living in his house. We need to meditate on that regularly and go much deeper into an understanding of living in him. It says in his word that we are ‘hidden in Christ’ and it says ‘run to the Lord’, the righteous run into the name of Jesus as a strong tower.

Secondly, we need to be declaring the truth to help our faith. We are coming into a season where we need to live by faith. We need to be living by faith continuously for everything. We can develop our faith through declarations, speaking out ‘I am the Lord’s child’, ‘He is with me’, ‘He is covering me’, ‘I live in his protection because I live in his presence and in his house’.

I encourage you, meditate on what it really means to be living as the Lord’s child and declare the truth over your life every time the onslaught comes against you. He is with you, he is for you and you are his.
