You can’t just be fruit
You’ve got to be the whole tree.
Deb Peacock
Sometimes people want to be known as something but they don’t want to be it. They don’t want to actually do what is required of that role, they don’t want the responsibility, they don’t want the hard parts and reality of what that role entails.
To be known as something, we have to be willing to be all that that entails - the great parts, the hard parts, the ugly parts, the unrecognised parts and the thankless parts.
Generally what we see is only the fruit and not the blood, sweat and tears that got sown in for there to be the fruit. You can’t just be fruit, you’ve got to be the whole tree.
