Do you want change in your life?
I know I do. Yes Lord.

Then he responded to me and said, “people want change in their life but they are really asking for change around their life. They want their circumstances to change but I have come to bring something far superior, and I want to bring change IN their life. This change will be so powerful that circumstances pale and no longer matter. The circumstances no longer have power to restrict, to shut down, to prevent my people from living fully alive and victorious in their life. They can truly come alive.”
Then he showed me a picture. You will have seen it on tv before. It is when there is a flood with rushing waters and a person is caught in the flood clutching to a tree or a pole. They are holding on for their life with everything they have because if they let go they will be swept away. And then we see the emergency worker near them, arms outreached and telling them to let go of the pole. “Let go and come with me. Come with me.” Their rescuer will ensure they are safe and can safely move through the waters out of the flood. But the person won’t let go. They won’t allow a move. They are resistant to being moved and maybe they are even paralysed in fear.
What we’re praying for is like holding onto the pole and saying ‘let the flood waters just be gone! So then I can let go when I’m good and ready’. But God is saying ‘I want to move you. Don’t worry about the floodwaters that are all around you’. Will you allow God to move you so that change happens in your life?
Movement is scary but alignment with God is necessary for entering into the victorious life God has ready for us. We can trust God and cling to him as he moves us and causes change IN our lives. He is bringing us into victory and bringing us to life!
Blessings,
