Emerge, Emerging, Emergence
God is doing a work of emergence now. He is going to cause you to emerge.

Lately I have been seeing many butterflies around, knowing God was using this beauty in his creation to speak to me about what he is doing in us. But only after I had seen many butterflies over a few days did I realise that every one that I have seen has been a different type. There has been no double ups. Each one is different in colour and/or pattern and size but each one is just as beautiful as the next. This is a representation of each of us and what God is bringing us into - each of us is unique and just as beautiful as the next.
I noticed too that these butterflies are calm and not afraid. They come close. And they allow me to come close. One swipe of my hand on them and they could die and yet they are not afraid.
And if the Lord is bringing emergence for us, how is this coming about? Is it the wrestling and fighting against the cocoon?
I saw the finest gold falling through the air and landing on people in such a gentle way it could barely be felt. It landed and disintegrated the wrong and the blockages and healed. This is from the Lord and he is disintegrated the difficulties, the pain, the lids.
But what if we are in a cocoon? How will we break forth? God showed me that this finest gold was supernaturally being placed within a person so while they are blocked and cocooned inside he can still reach them and do a work within. So the emergence out of the cocoon happens not by fighting against the limits, the restrictions and the caps, but by surrendering to Jesus and allowing him to put his gold goodness within.
He transforms from within and then eventually at his right time we are brought forth with lids, limits and restriction broken off. If you are feeling numb, disconnected, missing out with the blockages that are there, it’s ok. Faithful presence with Jesus is all he asks, he is the one bringing the goodness and doing the work inside. He is the one who will break you out, move you forward, bring you into a new space.
Just as a baby doesn’t fight their way out of the womb, we won’t emerge into a new space fighting. We emerge into the new through surrendering to God’s process to bring us forth.
On the eruption it might feel sudden, shocking or even a bit frightening. As a baby comes out from their safe cocooned place in the womb they are now in the big wide open space and everything is new. They cry and wail and express their heart with the new. It will be like this for many as they break into new. BUT, then they will draw in deeply, a huge deep breath of air. Breath is in their lungs! Now they are truly alive and there is space to breath in deeply of the Lord.
It is important to point out, we are not surrendering to the limits, restrictions and difficulties that are holding us back. We are surrendering to Jesus and him alone as our one true God. Instead of fighting the things holding us back we can turn our attention to Jesus, surrender to him and let him bring us forth. Emerge!
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 1 Peter 5:6
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me. Psalm 18:16-19
