For Business: The cleaning up, clearing out is preparation for expansion

Deb Peacock

It has been a hard season trying to clean up your space, and you’ve known it had to be done. You’ve had to set things right, change the tone, reset the culture that has gone off course. You’ve gone in to address the issues, you’ve prayed about them and sought God for it to be cleaned up and sorted out.

You didn’t realise this meant there would be a clearing out. If you are in business, you might have seen a big changeover of staff, a changeover of your team. It has rattled you and been bigger than you anticipated. You’ve wondered how you can set the culture with so much change going on.

But be encouraged - God is in this season. He is setting you up with the clean and clear set up ready for launch, ready for expansion into the new.

He has held you back as protection, safeguarding you from entering spaces before you were structurally sound to withstand the bigger game. It has been frustrating for you, but God has protected you.

If you resist the clean out, you are delaying expansion and while the process seems difficult, resistance will make it much more difficult. Don’t seek to keep the peace - that is an illusion. Seek to make the peace - you will have to see this through with the Lord to completion.

God has the strength, the fortitude, the wisdom and the very words you need to see this situation through. He has the ones you need who will be aligned and of the kingdom mindset you have for forward movement. He is setting you up for a win - a healthy culture, a strong structure and forward movement into new territory.

Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10

It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect. Psalm 18:32

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:8-10

You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah Psalm 32:7

But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3

Jabez called out to the God of Israel, "If only you would greatly bless me and expand my territory! May your hand be with me! Keep me from harm so I might not endure pain!" God answered his prayer. 1 Chronicles 4:10
