God is preparing you and he will preserve you

Preparation time

You are feeling nervous about doing the required preparation that God is calling you to this season because you feel like what you need to get started on won’t last, and you will miss out. Or, maybe you feel you can’t afford to take out time for preparation. God is saying his grace is there for you right now for preservation. He will preserve you keeping you ready and he will preserve the things you are called to. He wants this to be a time for setting you up ready but if you don’t engage with him with what is going on, right now could set you back. While you fear being set back, refuse to engage with that fear, don’t agree with it, but stay on track with the Lord, spending time in his presence and trusting him so that this season can be what it is meant to be - a setup not a set back.

God is wanting to clear the air for you. So as the clouds come crashing in and the gloom is attempting to settle down over you remember that the Lord clears the air. He is powerful enough to do this and it is his word, his truth that will do this. His word is the light, it shines onto things, it exposes things and it will do this - make no mistake, the power of God’s truth is so strong that it is like a laser beam shining straight through the gloom of the clouds. So hold on that God is truth, he is the word for you. Don’t worry too much about what it even is, just hold on that it is. After all, God is the I am. He is. Hold on.

Time to clear the clutter.

It is time to lay everything on the table. No holding back anymore. Bring it all before the Father, present it all too him by laying it on the table. Some of you have many many things going on, you have a finger in every pie and you are juggling many balls. All of these commitments might need to be written on their own piece of paper and physically placed on a table. Then you will see just what you have been signed up for. How many things there are. To actually do this process though you might need to swipe clear the table from the junk that is resting on it. There is so much clutter on it that you don’t even have a table to use for this process. Enter in to the process with God. Physically clear your table, put things away, throw out the junk. Then put out your commitments, all the things you are currently committed to or signed up for, each on their own piece of paper onto that table.

Laying it all down

The table is the alter before the Lord. It is the place where you put it down in front of him so that you are no longer holding onto it. You are allowing God to see it all. He already knows it all… but you don’t. As you put it down there and step back and look at it with him, you are allowing him to speak, to point out things and you are stepping into his perspective so you can know all the things and see it in the way that he does. This laying down means you can take stock. It is a stock take time.

Stocktake Sale

The next step in the process is going to be your stock take sale. This will be really difficult for some as the Lord will show you things on the table that need to be sold off. And they might be sold cheaply. They will be on sale, possibly given away or even thrown away. After all that you have invested, you might have to simply end something, delete it, pass it on to someone else for nothing, or make it a sale item. Ouch. Things are sold off on sale because the shop is making room for the new stock that is coming in. Those models and ways and items are now out of their best season and there are new models, new ways, new things, new commitments coming in. We need to make room. It isn’t that the old one is bad, it is that there are upgrades coming.

The Lord is abundant in his resources and we can be too. So even if we have invested much into something we don’t have to hold on tightly. God will give us wonderful new things or new ways to invest going forward that will be fruitful and blessed and so worth the investment. Remember that the investment you put in wasn’t just for the product or the thing, it was for you and your growth. Your growth goes with you into the new as well.

All of this work leads you into your next season, and while the vision isn’t there yet, how can it be with clutter and clouds and so many things in your hands? Trust the Lord’s process and follow it through, he will lead you and guide you into the new. The vision you long for starts with the laying out on the table and stepping back because this takes you into his perspective - the way he sees. He will take you from there.

It is time to enter into the Lord’s season for you. He will hold you, keep you and land you on your feet in the right place.
