God speaks to your fear

Deb Peacock

You’ve got that thing looming, it’s coming up and you will have to face it. It’s big and you don’t want to. Perhaps it is an important meeting, a presentation, a hard conversation, an exam.

And God says:

I get why you are afraid. I get it. What if I go in with you? What if I go with you and I promise I won’t ever leave you to deal with any of it on your own?  What if in the moment when you freeze or go blank I take over? What if when you don’t know what to answer I take over?

What if I do this with you?

What if this very thing you are afraid of, you don’t have to face it alone? What if I face it with you and remember, I’m a lot stronger than you or the problem so I’m really reliable. What if I could be strong for you? I promise you I will be there. I will go there too and I will step in. I promise I will be strong for you. I promise I will see you through it.

The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8
