The Body of Christ is called to action
Deb Peacock
For a person to function well, the head or the brain directs the body parts on what to do. Each body part has a different set of functions and all together the person can live well. If a part is not operating as it is designed and directed, a person might be sick and / or might not be able to function well.
God has chosen to work with people. He is the head of the body of Christ. He is the one with the strategy, the brains of all that needs to happen and able to direct each part in what to do. While this is great for us knowing we don’t have to have every step worked out ahead of time, it does mean we are called to action.
We are not idle people. We are people of faith and faith is active, it is action. While sometimes the action might be to wait - we must remember that waiting is not idle or passive. It is alert, committed, persevering and ready to move at the right time.
If we want the offered things of God to come to pass, we need to not only believe him to bring it about but we need to believe it so much that we are willing to take the action that God tells us.
God is pulling the bones together into the body (Ezekiel 37) and as we prophesy the empowerment to come we must be willing to action our faith according to God’s word. Otherwise empowerment on us either being idle or taking wrong action will achieve nothing.
