I was where I was meant to be, beside him while he held the weight

Deb Peacock

As I was spending time with the Lord and feeling overwhelmed at what I was sensing he wanted me to be a part of, he showed me a vision so I could see the approach to take. Remember, God always has the best way for us to do anything he calls us to and so of course he has the answer when we are feeling overwhelmed.

God showed me a huge shallow stone bowl, bigger than me and it was to be held up. The bowl held all the things that I was to be part of and I sensed the weight of it. But then I saw Jesus there and he was the one under the bowl holding it up. He was holding it up above his head and of course this was no trouble to him. Then, I saw where I was in this picture - right beside the Lord. I was where I was meant to be, beside him while he held the weight of all that he wanted and had called me to.

Then Jesus, took a chunk of the stone out, just a handful in his right hand and passed it to me. It represented a job to do, an assignment from him and it was one handful of the weighty bowl only. I took this chunk and ran off with it on mission to do something. And then, I came back to him and stood beside him once again.

I believe God is showing us how we are to do the things in life that he is asking of us. We are to stay beside him and allow him to hold the weight of it upon his shoulders. Then he will give us the next assignment or job to do that will be something we can run with. We won’t be staggering under it’s weight, we will be able to run with it. Then when we finish we are to run back to him, stand beside him, be with him and wait upon him.

We can trust him, we can follow his lead and we are to remain connected to him. He will ensure we can run with the things he gives us to do. His way is not to bury us under the weight of these things but to hold it for us.

Blessings,

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Isaiah 40:15 Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.
