When God seems silent he’s not silent. God speaks through the silence.

While you are in the waiting and it seems to go on and on and God seems to be saying less, he wants you to see and hear what he is saying by being silent. He is demonstrating to you what really matters. He is with you, he is caring for you, he is looking after you. You don’t need words with lots of information. You need care at this time. He is showing you to be with him and be in his care. 

He is also silent because he has said what matters for what is happening right now - he has made promises over your life. He has spoken them and no more words on this are required. What he is says still stands. HIS PROMISES FOR YOU STILL STAND. He is allowing the weight of what he has already said to be known, and teaching you to trust in those words as being as powerful for your life as they were intended to be. Trust in him - HIS PROMISES STILL STAND.

The Lord will speak on what matters and what is good for you and if he won’t answer your question, he isn’t engaging in something that isn’t good for you right now. 

He is not silent because he doesn’t care or because he has left you. He is silent because the silence speaks volumes, teaching you trust, allowing space for you to come into being looked after, cared for and covered by your Heavenly Father. Run to the Father and be with him, allow his covering presence to care for you and look after you. You are after all, his child.
