You can trust the drum beat of God

While I was in worship this morning I saw many people dancing with Jesus to a very strong drum beat. The beat got faster and faster and I wondered what will happen if they have to keep going at this pace forever? But then as gradually as the beat had accelerated it began to slow for a time before a crescendo and acceleration once again.

I felt God say the drum beat of him is for the care and best of his children. It gives them a rhythm to work to that carries them through the smaller ebbs and flows but it also causes a pause or slowly to enter into rest and catching your breath.

Then suddenly the accelerated beat stopped and there was silence. The people leaned over hands on knees and took big gasps in as though they had just finished a running race. Then as they stood tall again they turned to each other and people were greeting each other by shaking hands and nodding. There was enough time for connection and meetings and then, in the background the drum beat picked up again. Now the people moved and danced to the beat in God’s rhythm but they were connected to each other as well.

People were looking at each other and smiling and laughing as they danced. As they dance to the beat of heaven.

You can trust God’s drum beat of heaven for your life here on earth.
